"Kormoran II" is a ship to search for and combat marine mines in the waters of the Polish economic zone, as well as in tactical groups in the Baltic and North Seas. The construction of this prototype unit is carried out as part of a consortium headed by Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A.
Due to its function, the ship was designed in such a way as to ensure a low signature of physical fields, which was also a production challenge for our company. All devices provided by us were made of amagnetic materials to the maximum possible extent, and the used components, such as electric motors, were to be characterized, among others, by negligible electromagnetic emissivity.
In addition, the components supplied were tested for impact loads, hence their design had to take into account the requirements in this field.
Shipments made on this ship are, among others, produced by PBUCH SA:
- hyperbaric chamber,
- chillers,
- cold stores,
- fresh water preparation module.
As part of the systems' assembly, we also provided equipment from other manufacturers, i.e .:
- air-conditioning unit with automation,
- elements of HVAC installations
and made assembly works on the ship.
